About Us
NPHL is an organization which provides laboratory services to support activities in public health program which involved prevention and control of disease and food safety. NPHL is lead by a Director and divided into 4 sections ie Disease, Food, Epidemiology and Administration sections. The organization is responsible to Director of Disease Control Division, Ministry of Health.
Our Mission

To provide the state of the art, cost effective, timely and customer friendly analytical and diagnostics services and to function as a national laboratory reference centre for common pathogens and food testing.

To develop laboratory based surveillance systems for infectious diseases of epidemic and pandemic potential as part of an early warning system and response strategies for outbreaks of infectious diseases.

To be centre of excellence for the training of laboratory staff in the ministry of health.
